The room was good. It was shower only (as seems to be the trend for value seeking hotel rooms). The digital controls on the thermostat were clear and the time to warm or cool the room was quick. The bedding had no comforter/heavy blanket so I ran the room warmer than I usually do.
There was a microwave and empty college dorm fridge that kept the overpriced soft drinks ($6/24oz) from downstairs fridge next to reception.
The reception area is a train wreck - too crowded, too small for size of hotel, and completely unfair to the staff there who is basically checking in luggage for storage and shuffling to storage all day prior to checkin or post checkout. They do a great job keeping a smile on their face though - and everyone I interacted with from the hotel was super pleasant.
