November KO Board Meeting

I participate on the fundraising (development, advancement, whatever the popular fad term of the day is that describes the same darn activity as ever) sub committee on the board at Kingswood-Oxford School. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with some truly dedicated individuals and learn from them as they continue to execute well as a team.

I don't spend nearly as much time and energy on this as I should and

will make an effort to do even more for them.

Dennis is the outgoing head of school and he will be missed.

Keith (right) was always good to me and everyone I knew - he was a year or two ahead of me in school and I'm thrilled to interact with him again.

Marc (right) briefed us on a bunch of work another sub-committee was proposing be done. He was able to really boil down weeks of effort into minutes of explanation very nicely.

These are likely the two youngest alumni (plus me) on the board right now. I love seeing KO mix the class years up and ensure we have a solid board diversity in age, gender, race, etc.

I've been lucky enough to have the time and energy to travel in person the first couple board meetings I am part of to get to see and better know the other members. I hope I can for at least a couple more times in this first year. West coast <-> east coast makes it a little hard on myself for travel - but I've also been able to meet up with good friends I haven't seen near enough of in years to make the travel worth it!
